Thanks for the response. Even if renting were more expensive, the freedom it allows would still drive me to avoid buying.

Owning a house comes with both the myriad requirements of maintenance and the infinite choices of personal expression. The latter oftentimes mentally bogs people down, sucks up their free time, and drains their wallets.

Renting takes away the paradox of choice!
