I appreciate the feedback. There are two main reasons why I didn’t include any Medium earnings in my article.

1. While it’s popular to talk about, people earning “extra” income from side hustles, gigs, or other non-standard sources still seem to be in the minority. I wanted to focus the article on the majority of those whose sole source of income is their career.
2. My income from Medium is pretty low and has a negligible impact on my overall finances. You are correct that I am trying to change that, but I didn’t see the point of including something that really didn’t move the needle.
