I get where you're coming from, and I do recognize the need for balance—burnout helps no one, and self-care is crucial for resilience. No one can stay in crisis mode 24/7 and expect to be effective in the long run.

That said, disengagement isn’t really an option for everyone. For many, these policies aren’t just headlines—they impact their daily lives, their safety, and their futures. While taking breaks is necessary, complete detachment isn’t a long-term solution.

The goal isn’t to stay in a constant state of stress, but to understand the larger patterns at play so we can respond strategically rather than reactively. It’s about being informed without being consumed.

So yeah, deep breaths and rest are absolutely part of the equation—but so is staying engaged in a way that’s sustainable. Appreciate your perspective.
