I wouldn't say the USA is a failure, rather that this iteration of the American experiment has failed to benefit the masses.

I'm not sure about you, but the US is the only country I'm going to live in for the next few decades. I have my fair share of gripes, as exhibited in this story, and the country has for damn sure made some irrevocable mistakes (e.g. slavery), but you can't say that 2021 America isn't better than 1788 America, when only rich, land-owning, white men could vote and have any say in the direction of the country.

One might argue that economics has been weaponized to institute subtle, yest still highly effective, form of 21st century discrimination, which is true to some extent. However, the next iteration of America is addressing that, too, albeit slowly.

But then again, change happens slowly for a long time, until it happens all at once in a short time.
