Thanks for the feedback. I chose the federal income tax specifically because it is progressive.

The other taxes you listed are the same for everyone. Well, the Social Security tax has a limit for how much income can be taxed, but that's a conversation for another day.

Moving from middle class to upper class to rich to wealthy, we see federal income tax rates climb at a 30%-50% rate, which is to be expected in a progressive system.

The number that stuck out to me is that the poor are paying less than have the tax rate of the middle class, which might create some resentment.
