The funny thing, I didn’t even know I was eligible for a pension until a couple of years ago.

Indiana has had several plans the past few years, with some pretty wonky rules about who does or does not have access to them.

I thought I was on the standard defined contribution plan only. Then I saw a one-line notice in my retirement statement, and sure enough, I was already 5-ish years vested.

Now that I only have 2.5 years left, there’s no reason to leave it on the table by taking another job.
