The Patriot Act episode on student loans was great. And Hasan’s testimony in front on Congress was highly entertaining.
The problem with PSLF is that the DOE and FedLoan Servicing did a horrific, borderline criminal, job of advertising the requirements of the program.
For example, PSLF started in 2007, and they didn’t even have the Employer Certification Form until 2011!
Yes, the program has its problems, but the logic is sound, and the execution will catch up in the next few years. Check out these articles for more info on PSLF and why I think its a solid option.
